DIANE PROCTOR REEDER is a business owner, poet/writer and editor. She has edited a number of books now in print, including Chosen Vessels: Women of Color, Keys to Change by Rebecca Osaigbovo, which has sold more than 50,000 copies to date; and Staying Pure, a book by Stephanie Perry Moore, published by Moody Press in partnership with the Detroit-based imprint, Lift Every Voice.

Diane's company, Written Images, specializes in editing and development of communications materials for educational institutions, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. Clients have included the University of Michigan, United Conference for Women, and the Michigan Minority Business Development Council.

In 1994, when her husband was diagnosed with leukemia, Diane began writing what has now become her first book: A Diary of Joseph: A Spiritual Journey Through Time. The book chronicles the life of the Joseph of Genesis in poetry and prose through the lens of her own family's struggle, that ended in her husband's passing in 1998.

Reeder is a board member of Lotus Press, a Detroit publishing company founded by Detroit's Poet Laureate, Naomi Long Madgett. She also serves as Secretary of the American Christian Writer's Association, Detroit Chapter. Her poem, "A Leap Away from Heaven," was choreographed and debuted at the Detroit Windsor Dance Company's 1999 Annual Crystal Ball.

Reeder's first book, A Diary of Joseph: A Spiritual Journey through Time, was published in October, 2000 under her company, Written Images, with a revised edition published in April of 2001.
